A very warm October thus far and September was mostly pleasant as well. The local fishing has changed over from our local Paint Creek which came to a seasonal close the last day of September and we are now focusing our attention on the Upper Clinton. We had several Guided Float Trips out this fall up North for kings and coho. A very successful season of targeting the migratory runs. For those looking for a Half Day or Two Hour fish, the Upper can be good in the fall months and into the winter. We are now booking Fall dates for local trout fishing on the Upper Clinton with nymphing pocket water and runs or pitching streamers when the water is slightly high and colored up. Don’t forget the fall bugs such as midges and Baetis which offer a good snack for trout in feeding lanes. Hopeful that everyone has a productive fall season either locally or up North on your favorite waters to fish! Go w/ The Drift & Fish On!
